Obama Did Lie. Only it was After the Address

I am so pissed at Obama for the things he said after the speech. It wouldn't be politicking to tell the truth about Joe Wilson. Obama is lying now by minimizing the outrageousness of what Joe the Asshole Wilson has done, which is why I ream Obama in this special comment.

It's a ludicrous situation we find ourselves in.

Months back, I was starting to feel pretty ashamed of my white community here in America...

Then came the Gates Arrest. The shame I felt was suddenly doubled.

Then Glenn Beck's Comments on Obama. Doubled again.

Hell this list could go on for hours, including every article that has been on the Southern Poverty Law Center website for the last 2 years or more.

Now this... It's doubled again. Can't carry any more weight.

The first president to EVER get heckled by a Congressman in a public forum. He also happens to be the first black president. Shameful.

I think it's time that the grass roots start to distinguish the difference between a "Republican" or a "Conservative" like Buckley, and a NEO-CON.

Olympia Snow... She's a Republican. John Boehner from my state of Ohio is not a Republican. He's a NEO-CON for all intents and purposes.

These guys are like the knights of the Oligarchy. It's almost like they want to destroy us. The harder and faster we crash and burn, the more they can buy low, the greedy bastards.

The grass roots needs to distinguish the difference between Republicans and NEO-CONS. Shout it loud and often until the Democrats on the Beltway start to echo our chants.

I Dare not make comparisons that have newly become cliche, but the NEO-CONs, if they gain power again, WILL be the next large global power to upset the fragile balance, that affords us this faint shadow of world peace. (Which is to say, "At least multiple super powers are not blasting each other to dust.")

NEO-CONs can not be given back power!

You are right... It does not help when Obama comes right out and accepts Wilson's apology.

Once again, Obama is telling us to turn the page before we read it.

This is not how we inform the un-informed. This is not how we wake up the NEO-CON electorate.

I hate to say it. However, this climate we have in America is beginning to test my fortitude.

I am at the point now, where I begin to have thoughts like...

Perhaps I would be better spending my time on Earth somewhere else.

If Republicans GAIN seats in the 2010 Congressional Election, I am going to formulate and start to work a plan to move to Germany, or a place of its like.

I must admit, I'm a little scared myself. It's not that the Republicans scare tactics are working on me... It's what they have unleashed that I am scared of.

It's 9/11 today. The content of the news coverage today is what you'd expect. But The Glenn Beck, 9/12 march on Washington is tomorrow.

I'm so afraid that something terrible is going to happen.

No need to feel ashamed of white people. By and large, the vast majority of whites are cool, just like the vast majority of Muslims. If even a significantly small percentage of White people or Muslims were as bad as Republicans on TV, we'd be in serious trouble. We're talking about the fringe. Just like if most of America's 40 million black people were as stereotyped, where would be 10 million murders per year.

Then came the Gates Arrest. The shame I felt was suddenly doubled.

The gate's arrest was one of  many.  Take this arrest for speeding, caught on Dashcam.  When you look at the entire arrest, the only thing the police are upset and want to investigate are the kicks to the buttocks.  Gate's arrest was relatively tame compared to what goes on all the time. People were actually concerned about gate's dignity, which is a far cry more than what this mad got from the media.

Again, just Glenn and his minions.

The first president to EVER get heckled by a Congressman in a public forum. He also happens to be the first black president. Shameful.

If you watch, the Republicans are trying to equivocate and rewrite history. Apparently, Harry Reid writing that Bush was the worst President ever and a loser  -- in a book -- is the same as shouting "you lie" during the highest pomp and circumstance event possible in our nation.

I Dare not make comparisons that have newly become cliche, but the NEO-CONs, if they gain power again, WILL be the next large global power to upset the fragile balance, that affords us this faint shadow of world peace. NEO-CONs can not be given back power!

Sorry! It's going to happen eventually! They Got a little power after the depression and amended the constitution so we could never elect a President more than 2 times. Why? They thought it was TYRANNY that they couldn't win fair and square. And it worked. Bush won only because Clinton couldn't run again. Americans are polarized evenly and the "Undecideds" are very flighty and stupid. They don't understand facts and like to equate indecision with wisdom. How these nimrods decide is the balance of power in our land. All the stupid commercials you see are to sway the stupid people who will always re-elect Republicans when they strike just the right kind of fear for the time -- the undecided morons, who, late in the game still don't know where Obama was born and haven't enough facts yet or don't know whether or not the healthcare bill covers illegal aliens. Not the people who support Joe Wilson. they will always be the minority. It's the undecideds who tip the scales. That's who Obama has to deal with to get us healthcare. Morons.

You are right... It does not help when Obama comes right out and accepts Wilson's apology.

He continually lowers the bar and warps reality to their favor..

If Republicans GAIN seats in the 2010 Congressional Election, I am going to formulate and start to work a plan to move to Germany, or a place of its like.

Ah, but what if they lose seats? That's also a possibility. It's the trend. If we keep up a 50 state strategy, it might happen. We could have won a majority in 1998 when we gained seats when historically we should have lost them. Republicans had a lot of uncontested seats then.

I must admit, I'm a little scared myself. It's not that the Republicans scare tactics are working on me... It's what they have unleashed that I am scared of.

I'm only afraid of the lowering of the bar of truth. We've got to be able to at least agree on reality and then debate what we're going to do with reality.

What Wilson did was wrong and the only reasons he screamed 'You lie!' is because it was a Democrat speaker and worse to Wilson and his constituents is that the leader who really was elected isn't white enough for them. If the speaker had been a Republikkkan, Wilson would have oozed affection at the message and the messenger. In the British Parliament, heckling is always done. It hasn't been done in the US, but I can't help but remember how Cindy Sheehan was treated for no reason at all during an earlier speech by another leader. Cindy Sheehan had gone into the chamber to hear a SOTU address and had been invited by someone in Congress. She was guilty of wearing a shirt that had a message Republikkkans would consider inflammatory. Mrs. Sheehan hadn't disrupted, nor was she going to disrupt, the impending address. For her trouble of wearing a top with an anti-war message she was forcibly removed from the chambers. Republikkkan newspaper columnists and talking heads across the nation condemned her actions and lamented the fact that she wasn't thrown in jail and that she should have been severly punished for a flagrant lack of respect to someone who actually did lie to take the country into an expensive war of choice. Wilson represents his district and that should warn you to stay far away from there if you have any sense. While this was, as far as I know, an unprecedented event, shouldn't we be careful about what we wish for? If we want to put people in jail (even people like Wilson) for doing something we don't like, how does that make us any different than reactionary and ludicrous media republikkkans who want to incarcerate everyone who doesn't get in line with their beloved leaders when they are frequently in power by hook or (mostly) by crook? It would have been nice if Wilson had been called out for some of his dirt and it's safe to say that it wouldn't be long in coming. There is plenty of dirt on him and if Rahm and company didn't know what right then, they would be able to get it pretty soon and during this 'calling out' of those who disagree with such an important message, it would be time to show it. Any thinking person would see by Wilson's record that he has no credibility in the matter of health coverage. I don't understand why he gets away with it, though. It profits the leader nothing to let this sort of thing go unanswered. It makes him look bad and gives the republikkkans credibility they don't deserve. They have nothing to bring to the table except increased misery and intolerance. You can't bargain with them and it's not going to work. If you really care about getting anything done, 'bi-partisanship' does not work. Those jokers don't care about your rights or mine. If you want to help people, forget the Republikkkans. If not, just pretend you're working for the people and the status quo will continue.

No. I think he would have hated on a fellow GOPer who was advocating what Obama advocated, the way Dems rightfully hated on Joe LIEberman and that freaking asshole, Zel Miller. Funny, there seems to be a Democrat of the season who betrays the party..

There was recently a Democrat rebuked for calling bush a name, probably liar, and Bush wasn't in the room. Let's face it. republicans want us to follow all the rules, and they will make heroes out of all of there murderers, thieves, adulterers and assholes.

Bah! Credentials? Qualifications? Experience? We don't need no stinkin' badges! Joe has his GUT! He has a name like "Joe!" Actually his first name is Addison.

I don't care about Mr Wilson yelling garbage in the middle of the address. I am ashamed that Nancy Pelosi didn't have the wits to call him to ORDER. I would have dropped the hammer on his ass on national TV. I don't think we should be mad with Obama for accepting the apology but I do think the Democrats need a new strategy when fighting conservatives. The strategy should be fighting with the truth and facts that are indisputable. Explain to Americans that insurance companies are not part of the solution but part of the problem. Explain that TORT REFORM is a croc of shit put forth by corporations who want eliminate any liability they may have when they screw up. Explain to Americans that by simplifying the Tax Code, you intend to make it harder for the wealthy individuals and corporations to cheat on their taxes. To be honest healthcare reform might even be a bust without the public option, since we have already compromised with conservatives by not offering the best cheapest healthcare overhaul possible.....SINGLE PAYER. Without a strong public option free of the trigger legislation (since the trigger never gets pulled) would create an imperfect simulation of single payer but its better than nothing. I promise the only reason why Republicans win at all is because there is no aggressive liberal agenda armed with facts that is actively combating things like the Heritage foundation in the right context. What I mean is no one allows a liberal to say anything without picking apart everything to see if there is any angle from which the statement can be challenged. Some statements stand to be dismissed by the "thats not realistic," defense. Could you imagine how many conservative stance could withstand such scrutiny. I'm willing to bet everything I own that the percentage would be less than 5%.

Now That's a new comment I've never heard! Good point. It would have also been cool had Obama done it himself though conservatives would call him a whiner.

Yes. Insurance companies are indeed Ponzie schemes. that's why they have to cheat to be profitable. The major problem is cost. You shouldn't need insurance to see a doctor. You should need it only for major stuff.

Over 100,000 people die in America from medical neglegence. there should at least be 100,000 lawsuits. This doesn't include botched medical procedures that maime and harm people.

Explain to Americans that by simplifying the Tax Code, you intend to make it harder for the wealthy individuals and corporations to cheat on their taxes.

Right! Somehow medical savings account have built into them a way to evade the estate tax. Non sequitur?

I hate my insurance provider. I love my country. Hmmm. I'd rather send my premiums to the country to both help me in the future and to shore up the nation's finances if there is any inadvertent profit.

I have to disagree here. I'm becoming more and more disappointed in mankind, and Republicans represent a huge crowd of stupid people, and smart people who hate. They will always be more than 5%

Nah I honestly believe that if there was a powerful liberal mainstream media machine that aggressively exposed every lie and misconception spread under the guise of conservatism the Republicans would not be able to win enough elections to be a threat. The hateful people will still be hateful but they would no longer be able to hide the fact that their hatred of others is their primary motivation. Basically its acceptable to be hateful undercover, but would they dare to be openly hateful in a highly educated society that has facts instead of fox's conventional wisdom? I honestly believe they would be like the anti-medicare, anti-social security conservatives who Dwight D Eisenhower himself called the political fringe. I cannot find the quote but memory of Paul Krugman's Conscience of a Liberal, Eisenhower said that the New Deal was here to stay and any politician who would argue otherwise is attempting to commit political suicide. I wonder what happened to these types of conservatives the ones that were jaded somewhat yet still retained the ability to reason and accept facts.

I'm a new listener. I need a real opinion about what's going on in the world. I watched 2 documentaries:
Ring of power (29 part show on YouTube) I think goes over everything from 9/11 to the history of religion to the global enslavement. Which I see these terms everyday in the news that not many people know about.
Also the Obama deception (on top documentary films dotcom) about him being in the same club. And both rep. and dem. Are playing off each other to get everyone together and take over.
I know how you feel about stupid people!! But I'm trying to learn so if you ever have time to check these out and I would love to know what u think. I enjoy your podcasts. So I hope to hear you rant on this one day. Or email.
